Happiness For A Reason Reasons:

1.       I slept from 7:30 AM, to 4:30 PM! I think I was a bit tired, and in need of sleep!

2.       The best alarm clock ever! Ron! He woke me up when he got home from the office.

3.       Once I was up, awake, and ready, we were off to town for our Valentine’s Day After, date!

4.       Delicious meal at the California Pizza Restaurant. No we didn’t have pizza. They have several other delicious dishes. We choose a roasted vegetable dish and their guacamole!

5.       A lovely evening with my sweetheart!

Last night, or should I say this morning, was a slam dunk of a night! Well at least the slam, I am not so sure of the dunk! Ambulance after ambulance from midnight on! I was in the back doing the registration, after 3 AM. Started out with a code and went from there, with not a moment to rest…thankfully, when 6 am came around the next shift came on and we were able to work together so I was able to leave with everything I had started done, and the patient financial discharges under control! Phew…..!

Happiness For A Reason Reasons:

1.       A new appreciation for my co-workers who work in the back!

2.       The night, or morning, went by quickly! One of the benefits of being extremely busy!

3.       The team work I enjoyed when my relief, Brook, came to work!

4.       Good health!

5.       A comfortable bed to fall into so I can get my much needed sleep!

Happy For A Reason Reasons:

1.       Six hours of sleep!

2.       Woke up in time so I could make it to Judy’s class! Which, by the way, was excellent!

3.       Ron went to Judy’s class with me!

4.       Ron and I went shopping together.

5.       Had some special time together with Ron! Extra special since it is rare that we get to do anything special on my five day stretch of work!

And I must add a Happy Birthday my dear Eric! Wish we could celebrate with you!

Hit the floor running yesterday afternoon, and never stopped until one hour before my shift ended! I guess I choose the right day for picking up a swing shift! With all the activity, the time flew by! Can’t complain about that! I think more than half of all the patients for the day came on my shift.  Thanks to my coworker Amy, for helping it go smoothly!

1.       An active evening at work! How time flies when you are having fun!

2.       Amy’s help when things got more than a little lively!

3.       The 40 Days of Prayer study group with friends both far and near!

4.       Encouraging words from my prayer partners!

Showers? Really? That was the forecast, but it appears to me to be a bit more than showers today! I won’t complain because it got me thinking about a song I learned as a child. There Shall Be Showers of Blessings. I went searching on Youtube to see if I could find it. This picture of the girl in the rain caught my attention!

Showers can be falling all around us, even making a muddy mess, but our attitude makes all the difference in the world!

Happy For A Reason Reasons:

1.       A two mile walk in the pouring rain!  

2.       A coat that keeps me dry!

Half way through my morning, I made a call to the court house to see if the trial, I had received a subpoena for, was still going to proceed as scheduled. To my surprise, the answer was no! There was going to be a plea and the case would be closed! I was so excited. This meant that the people involved would get the help they needed and an added bonus was that I would get to come home and go to bed in the morning after work, instead of spending the whole day at the court house waiting to be called. I was excited about the positive turn of the events and called my sister and my mother to share my excitement! After sharing with my mother, she said, “When I prayed for you this morning, I asked God to cause something exciting to happen for Barbara today!” Her prayer was answered!  It may seem like a small thing, but guess what? I’m happy, she is happy, and I know God is smiling!

Happy For A Reason Reasons:

1.       God works in mysterious ways!

2.       Phones!

3.       The prayers of my mother!

4.       The prayers of everyone who prayers for me! Every now and then I hear of someone who is praying for me and my family, and I had no idea. It is such a great encouragement!

5.       An  invigorating walk in the wind! It was so refreshing!

I ask myself, “what does the Bible say about relaxation?” A picture of Psalms 23 comes to my mind.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I will lack nothing. He lets me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores the strength of my soul. He guides me along paths of righteousness. Even when I have to walk through a valley of frightful shadows facing death, I will fear no evil, because you are with me. Your rod and staff protect me. You spread out a banquet for me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with drops of oil. My heart overflows with gratitude. Your goodness and mercy will be with me every day of my life, and I will live with You in Your house forever.” ~Psalms 23:16, The Clear Word Paraphrased Bible .

In Ecclesiastes 3, the Bible says, “there is a time for everything….”  Today has been a time to kick back and relax with no deadlines to get this or that done. After yesterday and today, I am energized and ready for the week!
