October 10

October 10, 2011~

I went straight from Daddy’s room to work last night, just had to walk down the hall and through the ED door. When I had my breaks, I went over to check on my parents, who were asleep each time I checked.
After work, I went straight over to the CVU, where I found Mother and Daddy wide awake. Daddy was scheduled for an angiogram this morning. The first part of the morning Mother, Judy and I were trying to keep Daddy busy, so he would not thinking much about the angiogram he was going to have.Uncle Ottis, came by for a visit, as well as one or two others. Finally the time arrived and he was escorted down the hall with a great team of nurses.

A kiss for the road!

....and now the time has come. See you soon!

To pass the time Mother, Judy and I found many ways to amuse one another. Since we had the room, we timed each other standing on one foot. Guess who lasted the longest? The silly things we’ll do…..  after the phone calls are done.

Whoa, steady now...

I think I just might make it....

Oh, no, I think I am loosing it!
Go for it Judy!
Now she has it.....Now she don't!

Your turn mother!

Not Bad, Mother! You aren't even supposed to be able to do it at your age!
Whew....Daddy saved me!

Daddy made it back about 1 1/2 hour later.
Daddy telling mother thank you for his mittens! Hospital socks work great for cold hands!
Up in the chair where he has wanted to be for 3 1/2 hours!
Mother takes advantage of the vancant bed!
I think they both like the arrangement! Don't you?

Dr. Hart came by to tell us what he’d found. Looks like Daddy has multiple blocked arteries. He was pleased that Daddy had even made it through the angiogram as it was the worst one he has done all year long. We had no idea Daddy had coronary problems, nor did he. His cholesterol has always been very low. Needless to say, we are a bit surprised by all this.
Happy For A Reason Reasons:
1.    I was able to stay awake and make it through my shift with no problem. I believe it was a gift from God!
2.    I love my mother and my sister!
3.    Daddy made it through the procedure!
4.    My boss and coworkers arranged things so I don’t have to work tonight! I have only had four hours of sleep in about 48 hours.
5.    La’Quon was able to call and talk to Pops!  I believe it was an encouragement for him!

Judy ready for the night, sending out e-mail updates.
Good night Daddy, see you in the morning...
