Jesus – God’s Promise Fulfilled!

It is the Christmas Season! A time of excitement, wonder, joy, expectation, stress, and more. This morning, I am having moments of wonder, joy, and awe as I think about a promise that God gave long ago. In fact, it was a plan He had before the world was created. The first recorded promise was made to Adam and Eve. “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Gen. 3:15. Another time the promise appeared was in Isaiah7:15, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sing: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” On to the New Testament, Matthew 1:23, ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with us.”’

The reason for the season is Jesus, and He is God’s promise fulfilled! No better place to start my Happiness Reasons than right here!

Happiness For A Reason Reasons:

1.       God keeps His promises!

2.       The reason for the season, Jesus!

3.       A God who would let His one and only son leave Heaven, (and a Son who would consent) to become “flesh and dwell among us.” Truly becoming “God with us,” God’s promise fulfilled!

4.       A Savior!

5.       The opportunity to be His hands and feet!
