December 9

December 9, 2011 ~

A Young Life Lived For God Alone
Jordy is a young 12 year old boy who lives in Ecuador. He and his family have been through many difficult trials, and yet he still feels he is blessed!
His mother is very sick with a painful disease making her unable to walk. His father lost his job, so they Jordy’s family has no income. He and his family don’t become bitter and blame God, no, they choose to become better people through their difficult trials. Instead, they praise God for providing for their every need!
Because His father had no job and his mother was so ill, Jordy’s parents had to sale their house and move into a very small one-room apartment, making it easier to pay for his mother’s medical treatments. Twelve year old Jordy didn’t mind. “My mother is more important than any house!” he says. “When we can’t see how we’ll manage, we remind ourselves that God provides for the sparrows. Surely He will provide for us, too. I prayed someone brought us food. I know that God won’t forget us.”
Something interesting about Jordy is, he doesn’t like to dwell on the difficulties that his family has. Instead he wants to talk about the blessings that God has blessed them with.  This is truly an example of being happy for a reason!  ~Adapted from SSNET, The Gospel In Galatians, Dec. 9, 2011
Happy For A Reason Reasons:
1.       A beautiful, sparkling morning.
2.       A walk with Ron, in the middle of this sunny day.
3.       Someone made a hard but good decision this morning!
4.       Chores done, house is clean!
5.       A new Christmas CD to listen to.
