June 11, 2011~

Today Ron and I took off to the Columbia River Gorge scenic area to enjoy the great outdoors! We stopped and hiked around several waterfalls, including a stop at Multnomah Falls! Since this year has been a wet one, all the falls had a good amount of water flowing over them for this time of year. All the water running so freely over the falls reminded me of the Lady at the Well. Jesus told her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water….Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:10, 13  Jesus is the gift of God, the greatest token of God’s love, the only source and fountain of those living waters. It is the graces of the Holy Spirit which will satisfy every thirsting soul and make iit overflow with goodness. When you come face to face with your own helplessness and sin and give your heart to Him you will be the recipient of this Living Water. Oh, my greatest desire is that this spring of living water may well up in me and flow out to others.

 Happy For A Reason reason’s:

1.       Water Falls! A ride to the Columbia River Gorge scenic area where we enjoyed stopping and hiking a bit around a few waterfalls! 

2.       The acres of trails behind our property. Great hiking fun!

3.       Spring flowers!

4.       Sunshine! Even Mount Hood peaked out from behind the clouds!

5.       Singing birds!

All of the above made for a very lovely day!
