June 26

June 26, 2011 ~
Yesterday, Ron and I spent all day with La’Quon.  It was a lovely Sabbath day. We met his new classmates and many of their families and enjoyed a Sabbath afternoon baptism in the river. Then today we went to the graduation ceremonies and said goodbye to several boys and their families as they all begin the next part of their life journeys.  We are very happy for them, and wait with great anticipation for the time when it will be our turn! After lunch and some more time with La’Quon, his friends and school staff, we sadly said our good-byes and start the count down again for our next visit. It will be here before we know it!
Happy For A Reason reasons:
1.       A weekend of memories with La’Quon!
2.       Baptism of boys who gave their lives to Christ!
3.       New friends!
4.       Great school for La’Quon!
5.       Great staff!
As we leave La’Quon, I keep before me the fact that we’ll see him face to face again in just a little while. I once again think of a song from my past. A song I learned as a child. Face To Face With Christ My Savior.

Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face--what will it be?
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ who died for me.

    Face to face I shall behold Him,
    Far beyond the starry sky;
    Face to face in all His glory,
      I shall see Him by and by!

Only faintly now, I see Him,
With the darkling veil between,
But a blessed day is coming,
When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened,
And the dark things shall be plain.

Face to face! O blissful moment!
Face to face--to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.
